Essentials package

Essentials.

Bloods, ECG, body composition and a consultant-led review. The right floor for a healthy adult who has never had a baseline. A half-morning visit, a written report within five working days, and a consultant on the other end if a single number raises a question.

What is included

A clean baseline, in a single morning.

Essential is built for the adult who has never had a real baseline — just an insurance medical, a flu jab, the occasional set of bloods. It is a half-morning read with every measurement a working GP would want before they could tell you, plainly, that you are well.

The bloods run a 70-marker panel covering lipids, liver, kidneys, thyroid, inflammatory and metabolic systems. The cardiac trace is a proper resting ECG, not a fitness-watch screenshot. Body composition is measured at DEXA-grade resolution — lean mass, fat mass and bone density, written down so you can track them.

The hour with the GP is the spine of the visit. Every number on the screen, every plain-English explanation, a written report to take home, and an open line for the questions that always arrive a week later.

Who books this

Who Essential is for.

  • First baseline

You have never had a proper read — no whole-body scan, no advanced bloods, just the odd insurance medical.

  • Healthy on paper

You feel well, train regularly, and want to confirm the numbers are where you think they are.

  • Under 40, on top

You are in your thirties and want a stable starting point to compare against year on year.

  • A focused morning

You do not have a full day to give. Half a morning, a written report, then back to work.

  • Before a big year

A new role, a baby, a marathon — you want to know the engine is sound before the year starts.

  • Pragmatic pricing

You want a consultant-led read at the floor price, with the option to layer on scans only if a finding warrants it.

What is inside the morning

Four measurements, read together.

Bloods, electrics, body and a long conversation — the four readings every working GP wishes the NHS appointment had time for.

70+ blood biomarkers

Lipids, liver, kidneys, thyroid, inflammatory and metabolic panels — the foundation panel every adult should know.

Resting ECG & blood pressure

A baseline cardiac trace and a careful, seated blood-pressure read — not a five-second sleeve squeeze.

Body composition (DEXA-grade)

Lean mass, fat mass and bone density measured the way a sports physician would — numbers you can track.

GP-led 60-minute review

A full hour with a GP to walk through every number, in plain English, with a written report to take home.

A calm Harley Street consulting room with morning light, set up for a baseline appointment.
On the day

Half a morning, start to finish.

About three hours, door to door
  1. Arrival

A host meets you at the door, walks you upstairs, and the morning begins. No reception queue, no check-in kiosk.

  2. Prep

Change in a private room, a short cup of tea, and a quick chat about how you slept and what you ate — both matter for the bloods.

  3. Assessment

Bloods, resting ECG and body composition, run back-to-back in the same suite. About ninety minutes on the floor.

  4. Consultant review

A full hour with your GP to walk every number in plain English. The written report follows within five working days.

Side-by-side

How Essential sits next to the other tiers.

Essential is the floor — bloods, electrics, body, GP review. Comprehensive adds whole-body MRI, FibroScan and advanced bloods. Executive adds cardiac CT, prostate MRI and a year of concierge follow-up. The compare table on the packages page sets them out in one view.

Questions

Before you book Essential.

Cannot find what you need? Email hello@check-point.health and a real person will reply the same day.

Should I upgrade to Comprehensive instead?

If you are in your 40s or 50s, or have any family history of cardiac, cancer or metabolic disease, Comprehensive is usually the right read — the whole-body MRI is the difference. Essential is the right floor for a healthy adult who has never had a baseline. If you are unsure, enquire and a consultant will steer you.

What is not included in Essential?

There is no imaging in Essential — no whole-body MRI, no cardiac CT, no ultrasound. Advanced bloods, hormone panels and cancer-marker panels also sit in Comprehensive and Executive. Everything outside Essential is available as a transparently priced add-on.

How long does the visit take in total?

Half a morning — about three hours, door to door. Bloods first, then ECG and body composition, then your hour with the GP. You leave with the initial conversation done; the written report follows within five working days.

Is the GP review really an hour?

Yes — a full sixty minutes, sat down, with every number on the screen between you. Most people have never had a GP appointment this long; it is the part members tell us mattered most.

Can I add a scan if I want one?

Yes. A whole-body MRI, a FibroScan or a low-dose cardiac CT can be added to Essential at the published add-on price. If a finding on the day warrants a scan, your GP will say so — never automatically.
